In 2023, annual funding soared to €3.36 billion, marking a significant 21.9% increase year-on-year. When looking at the reported volumes distribution of funds by categories, Consumer Debt received the lion’s share at €2.88 billion, experiencing a notable surge of 34.37%. Conversely, SME Business Debt experienced a slight dip of 21.30%, amounting to €137 million, while Real Estate Debt also saw a decrease of 21.41%, totalling €348 million. Standout milestones included Peerberry reaching total funding of €2 billion, followed by Estateguru and Robocash, each achieving the funding milestone of €750 million.

The investments made in digital private markets in 2023

In 2023, Mintos continued to dominate the funding race by collecting over €1.15 billion, marking a substantial 38.90% increase from the €831.19 million amassed in 2022. Following closely, PeerBerry secured the second spot for the second consecutive year, bolstering its funds to €809.57 million, reflecting a notable 50.62% improvement from the previous year’s funding of €537.50 million. Esketit surged to the third position, surpassing Robocash. Climbing from 6th place in 2022, Esketit amassed €268.27 million in 2023, demonstrating a remarkable 112.99% funding increase from its 2022 funding of €125.95 million. Conversely, both Estateguru and Lendermarket experienced setbacks, losing their 4th and 5th positions in 2022, respectively. Swaper joined the top 5 in 2023.
