About
Ginjan Bros. Is founded by Mohammed & Rahim Diallo, who immigrated from Guinea, West Africa in their mid teens. They brought with them the flavors and tastes of their childhood, and in 2015 launched with their first all organic, cold-pressed ginger juice. What started out with that first product retailing in Whole Foods Markets in NYC, soon expanded to multiple organic grocers across the Northeast. The brand also operates two cultural-driven GinjanCafé™ locations in Harlem and Brooklyn in New York City, with expansion happening in 2023 to more locations in NYC, and beyond. Mohammed and Rahim expanded on the original offerings, not just in juices — which now include Ginger, Bissap, Attaye and Kenkeliba — but in overall African-inspired cuisine, packaged food goods and experiences. The GinjanCafé serves a menagerie of African-forward dishes as well as premium coffee and teas, thanks to their partnership with La Colombe. Today, Ginjan® is a multi-faceted business focused on bringing African flavors to America, and the World. Early investors include Wendy Williams and Howard Schultz — founder of Starbucks — noting that Ginjan® "…is a business with enormous potential".
