For business loans, the debt instruments are often secured by collateral such as vehicles, heavy machinery, equipment, or personal sureties. For real estate projects, investor protection is usually ensured through guarantees, including real estate pledges and personal sureties. The specific form of collateral varies by project and is disclosed individually on each investment offer.^[4]

The loans typically range from €10,000 to €500,000, with durations between 6 and 36 months, depending on the project. Most deals make monthly interest payments, with the principal repaid at maturity. Nordstreet offers a secondary market where investors can sell their investments before maturity, and an auto-invest feature that automatically allocates funds according to user-defined criteria. Interest income for foreign investors is subject to a 15% withholding tax, while Lithuanian residents pay a 15% income tax on interest only if it exceeds €500 per year.^[5]

Nordstreet offers investors annual interest rates typically ranging from 10% to 14%, with an average advertised return (AROI) of 12.8% across the platform. Some projects offer higher interest rates, reaching up to 18%, depending on the level of risk and collateral. According to Nordstreet’s latest statistics, the platform has returned more than €39.5 million to investors, including €6.1 million in interest payments. Real estate loans account for the largest share of the portfolio, with 65.6% of loans fully repaid and 9.6% in default. For business loans, 75.1% have been repaid, with 12.3% in default.^[6]

The platform charges no fees for investing. The only investor cost is a 2% fee when selling investments on the secondary market. For borrowers, Nordstreet applies several service and operational fees, including:

• A one-time application evaluation fee of €4,250.
• An operator fee of 1–8% of the financed amount.
• A 5% contract termination fee on the remaining loan amount.
• A 0.5% early repayment fee. 0.4% daily interest on overdue payments, plus small fixed late-payment penalties.
• A €29 monthly administration fee, and standard notary or mortgage administration costs.^[7]

These borrower fees constitute the platform’s main source of revenue.

Nordstreet was co-founded by Tadas Budrikis and Linas Kliukas, who remain at the core of the company’s leadership. Tadas Budrikis, Chief Executive Officer, oversees the platform’s overall strategy, operations, and regulatory direction, bringing a strong background in business management and real estate finance. Linas Kliukas, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, focuses on product development and innovation, ensuring the platform continues to grow and adapt to investor needs.

Tomas Kaziukevičius, Chief Operating Officer, manages the platform’s daily operations, legal compliance, and coordination with the Bank of Lithuania under the ECSP framework. Mindaugas Ruseckas, Director of Funding, is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new real estate projects listed on the platform, working closely with developers and borrowers to maintain deal quality. Monika Drungilaitė, Chief Marketing Officer, leads Nordstreet’s marketing and communication strategy, helping expand the platform’s visibility and investor base.^[8]

Together, the management team combines expertise in finance, real estate, technology, and marketing  driving Nordstreet’s expansion in the Baltic crowdfunding market and establishing it as one of the region’s leading regulated platforms.

The platform is operated by UAB Nordstreet, a Vilnius-based company with a registered share capital of €203,769. Co-founders Budrikis and Kliukas each hold 46% of the shares, giving them majority control. Another board member, Žygis Markevičius, owns 3.8%, while the remaining shares are distributed between an undisclosed Lithuanian company and two foreign firms.^[9]

In early 2022, Nordstreet successfully raised €303,000 through an equity crowdfunding round on Seedrs (Republic Europe). The round, which closed in March 2022, represented 1.85% of the company’s equity and valued the business at over €16 million.^[10]

Nordstreet has reported steady revenue generation since its inception but with notable fluctuations in profitability. Between FY2019 and FY2021, sales revenue increased from €142,044 to a peak of €851,039. In FY2022, revenue declined to €551,461, before rebounding to €593,855 in FY2023. Over the same period, the company moved from a net loss of €335,255 (–60.8%) in FY2022 to a net profit of €284,993 (47.9%) in FY2023. According to more recent data, Nordstreet recorded €636,668 in turnover for FY2024 but reported a gross loss of €451,603, indicating continued variability in profitability despite stable income.^[11]
