Hexigone Inhibitors manufactures ‘chemically intelligent' corrosion inhibitors. Intelli-ion® AX1 completely replaces or co-blends with heavy metal, phosphate and toxic chromates with cost-effect, high performance, sustainable anti-corrosive additives. The corrosion inhibiting technology – Intelli-ion – protects in a unique way by using intelligent micro reservoirs that make the coatings responsive to the environment, triggering the release of the inhibitor ‘on demand.' Intell-ion is also offered as a drop in replacement to current formulations – making it an economically sound chrome-free alternative, both in the manufacturing process and by protecting end products for longer.
