Everyone with reduced mobility should have access to assistive devices that are safe, advanced, and affordable. Our journey began with the desire to use technology to help people with reduced mobility in our families and communities to enjoy greater freedom and independence. We learned that electric wheelchairs are over-priced and in short-supply, putting them beyond the reach of most people who are not wealthy or well-insured. We also learned that most electric wheelchairs use decades-old technology and are very heavy, with batteries that recharge slowly, limiting their range and preventing them from also being used manually when needed.
