Buy-to-sell, sometimes referred to as house flipping, is another kind of project in real estate lending. As the name suggests, buy-to-sell involves an investment in a property, its renovation, and a subsequent sale. Such projects tend to be relatively short-term (about 12 months) and structured as bullet loans, i.e., the borrower doesn’t pay monthly instalments but fully repays the loan after they sell the property.
